Sands China doubles interim dividend with $516M payout

Macau casino operator Sands China declared an interim dividend of HK$0.50 per share for the first half of 2026, double the HK$0.25 paid a year earlier. The total payout comes to HK$4.05 billion ($517 million), approved despite a decline in profit.

Shareholders registered on 18 September will receive the dividend on 9 October. Combined with the final 2025 dividend of HK$0.50 per share ($517 million) paid in June, Sands China's total 2026 distributions reach HK$1.00 per share — around $1.03 billion.

First-half revenue rose 11.1% year-on-year to $3.88 billion on gaming strength. But net profit fell 3.6% to $398 million and adjusted EBITDA dropped 3.4% to $1.07 billion. The operator faced higher player incentive costs and wage bills amid tight competition. The Londoner Macao partly offset the pressure after The Londoner Grand opened in April 2025.

Second-quarter net profit collapsed 50% year-on-year to $107 million on abnormally low VIP table hold. Revenue slipped 0.8% to $1.78 billion and EBITDA fell 24% to $430 million. The hold effect cost an estimated $87 million, even as turnover grew across all segments.
