Federal prosecutors have asked a judge to revoke bail for Deniro Laster, a co-defendant in the NBA betting case involving Terry Rozier, and hold him in custody until trial. Prosecutors allege Laster attempted to intimidate potential witnesses.
According to the filing, Laster — a childhood friend of Rozier — repeatedly violated his release conditions and contacted another co-defendant. In one instance he allegedly used rat emojis on Instagram as a form of pressure on possible witnesses.
The case is part of an investigation into alleged violations linked to betting on NBA games. A judge will rule on the prosecution's motion to revoke bail.
