Thai authorities blocked 945,075 gambling-related URLs between October 2025 and September 2026. Court orders accounted for 835,207 addresses, with a further 109,868 removed through direct engagement with digital platforms. The figures refer to individual URLs rather than distinct sites or operators.
The ministry released the data on 6 October following a meeting with organisations focused on gambling enforcement and youth protection. Plans include working with search engines to reduce the visibility of gambling content in results and launching a reporting mechanism that will allow citizens, including teenagers, to flag such resources. A working group will review complaints, engage with TikTok and Meta, and pass intelligence to the Royal Thai Police.
Enforcement currently relies on police operations, AI-based tools for identifying gambling sites, and public reporting. The ministry intends to bring in the education, interior and security ministries to strengthen prevention work among children and students and improve social-media literacy.
