What vsl-storyboard-writer does

The skill writes the script and the storyboard together. Every scene comes with on-screen copy, a visual description, timing, the emotion the viewer should feel, and notes for the animator. The output is shaped for handoff to a motion designer and for Remotion production.

Inside are frameworks picked by video length and goal: a short hook-to-CTA pattern for social ads, PAS for cold traffic, AIDA for product demos, the classic VSL structure for longer sales pages, and an explainer format. There is also a breakdown of hook types for the opening seconds and duration guidance from micro-content up to multi-minute videos. Tell it the length and the objective and it picks the framework.

Handy when a script is needed now rather than after a round of approvals. It stays on structure and copy though — no editing, no rendered video, just a script you pass downstream. Without a motion designer or a Remotion pipeline, some of those animator notes will go unused.

What it helps with

  • write a sales video script for a fixed duration
  • build a product demo storyboard with per-scene timing
  • come up with a hook for the opening seconds
  • map the offer and objection handling onto scenes
  • hand a script to a motion designer in a ready format

Example prompts for the agent

  • write a 90-second VSL script for our product demo
  • storyboard a 30-second social ad using the PAS framework
  • script an explainer video about our service for a marketing audience
