storyboard-creation — Claude Code skill: shot lists and panels
A skill for planning film and video storyboards: shot vocabulary, camera angles, continuity rules and panel annotation format.
npx skills add 101-skills/superpowers --skill storyboard-creation -a claude-codeWhat storyboard-creation does
The skill lays out the language of storyboarding: eight shot types from ECU to EWS, seven camera angles, nine movement types and the continuity rules that hold a sequence together. The 180-degree rule gets its own section — keep the camera on one side of the axis between two characters, or the viewer loses track of who is where. Match on action, eyeline match and screen direction are covered too.
Panels are generated through the belt CLI from inference.sh. Log in with belt login, then run the model: belt app run falai/flux-dev-lora --input '{...}' with a prompt and frame dimensions. Finished panels get stitched with belt app run infsh/stitch-images. No belt and no login means no images, so check that first.
Every panel carries a fixed annotation block: scene and shot number, shot type and angle, camera movement, duration, action, dialogue, SFX and music cue. Layout depends on the job — 2x3 for dialogue scenes, 3x3 for action, 2x2 for key moments. Before generating anything, the skill suggests starting from a shot list broken down by scene.
What it helps with
- write a shot list scene by scene before shooting
- pick a shot type that matches the emotion
- check whether the camera crosses the 180-degree line
- generate storyboard panels with
belt - stitch panels into a single board
Example prompts for the agent
- build a storyboard for a 6-panel ad set in an office
- write a shot list for a music video and pick camera angles
- generate panels for a chase scene and stitch them horizontally
