What orchestrate does

orchestrate treats the parent GitHub issue as the plan. It reads sub-issues through GraphQL, checks their dependency edges, reviews the affected code seams, and starts one /implement agent for each work package. Shared-file conflicts are handled through sequencing or an agreed rebase rule. The orchestrator does not edit src/.

The skill relays review findings, checks branches on the remote, inspects git diff --stat, watches CI, and merges pull requests in the required order. GitHub comments hold decisions, questions, progress, and blockers. If the sub-issues are missing or vague, the run stops and asks the owner instead of inventing a new breakdown.

What it helps with

  • split a feature across GitHub sub-issues
  • assign one /implement agent to each work package
  • order tickets by their “Blocked by” links
  • verify agent changes before merging pull requests
  • watch CI and clean up branches and worktrees

Example prompts for the agent

  • Use the orchestrate skill for the parent GitHub issue and run one /implement agent per sub-issue.
  • Inspect the “Blocked by” links, identify shared-file hotspots, and set the merge order.
  • Before merging, verify the remote branch, git diff --stat, review fixes, and CI status.
