video · starchild-ai-agent — Claude Code skill: generate clips from a prompt
A skill for short video generation: text-to-video, image-to-video and video-to-video through Starchild scripts. Handy when you need a clip from a prompt or a photo brought to life.
npx skills add Starchild-ai-agent/official-skills --skill video -a claude-codeWhat video does
The skill handles every video-generation request. Two scripts do the work: generate_video.py submits the job, polls it and downloads the mp4 into output/videos/, while publish_asset.py prepares a reference file for the image and video input modes. Model choice comes down to a tier: budget, balanced or premium.
Image-to-video and video-to-video need the reference asset at a public https URL. Uploading to fal storage requires a Serverless permission the key does not have, so assets go out through a published fal-assets preview — a one-time setup per workspace. Images are accepted up to 10 MB, videos up to 100 MB, and anything else is rejected before publish.
Deliver the finished file from output/videos/, not as a fal link. That CDN serves mp4 with a sandbox CSP, so the URL opens a blank page and <video> embedding gets blocked. If the download failed, pull the file with curl -L -o output/videos/<filename>.mp4 "<video_url>".
What it helps with
- generate a five-second clip from a text prompt
- animate a still photo with image-to-video
- restyle an existing video
- pick a model tier that fits the budget
- hand the user an mp4 that actually opens
Example prompts for the agent
- generate a 5s clip of a drone flying over snowy mountains at sunrise
- animate this photo with a slow camera push-in
- restyle this video using the balanced model

Questions about video
How do I install video in Claude?
Run npx skills add Starchild-ai-agent/official-skills --skill video -a claude-code. The skill then lives at ~/.claude/skills/video/SKILL.md.
What does the video skill do?
It generates short clips: text-to-video, image-to-video and video-to-video. The script submits the job, waits for the result and downloads the mp4 to output/videos/.
Why not give the user the raw fal URL?
fal serves those files with a sandbox CSP header, so the link shows a blank page and <video> embedding is blocked. Hand over the local file from output/videos/ instead.
