What short-video-production does

The skill covers the whole path from concept to finished clip: picking a video type, breaking the timeline into seconds, filming, editing, and tuning for mobile viewing. It ships tables for optimal length per genre — tutorial, review, vlog, tips list, before-after — plus format specs and a gear comparison by budget.

Retention is the point. The first three seconds decide the video, so the hook gets its own treatment and every frame has to earn its place. A 15-second clip gets one structure, a 30-second clip another, a 60-second clip a third, each with exact block boundaries.

This is not for static image posts or horizontal cinematic work — those need different tools. Shoot on a phone with no mic and no light and your expectations should drop; the gear table marks that basic tier plainly.
