What scene-distillation-zine-v1-3 does

The skill treats a photo as semantic and visual evidence, then builds a separate poster from what it finds. It identifies the main subject, gesture, spatial cue, palette, material qualities, and emotional residue before removing clutter. The result does not keep the photographic layer or reproduce the source composition as a direct illustration.

Its process covers the artistic proposition, a central tension, one visual metaphor, scale, rhythm, boundaries, colour, texture, and typography. Source orientation is preserved by default: portrait output uses 3:5, while landscape output uses 5:3. The instructions also allow spacious negative space, distributed accents derived from the source, and a single contiguous colour field with neutral forms.

The response includes a raster image, a short explanation of the idea, and art-direction notes. The skill does not inspect the result or regenerate it automatically unless the user asks for that, so visual review remains a deliberate step for the person using it.

What it helps with

  • turn a supplied photo into a minimal zine poster
  • extract the emotional core of a scene
  • build a visual metaphor from source details
  • preserve meaning without copying the photograph
  • shape art direction for an editorial image

Example prompts for the agent

  • Apply the skill to this uploaded photo and make a poster about the distance between a person and the surrounding space.
  • Rework this image as an editorial piece with generous negative space, preserving its emotional core and adding brief art-direction notes.
  • Create an abstract portrait-oriented interpretation of the photo, then inspect the result only when I ask for a review.
