salesforce-development · davila7 — Claude Code skill: Salesforce patterns
A skill that hands your agent working patterns for Salesforce development: LWC, Apex, REST and Bulk APIs, Salesforce DX. Useful when the agent writes Salesforce code.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --skill development/salesforce-developmentWhat salesforce-development does
The skill covers the patterns an agent keeps getting wrong on Salesforce: Lightning Web Components with the @wire decorator for reactive data binding, Apex triggers with logic moved into a handler class, and Queueable Apex for async work. It also lists anti-patterns — SOQL and DML inside loops, hardcoded IDs.
Apex triggers have to survive bulk loads of 200+ records per transaction, so the handler pattern is not a style preference. It is how you avoid recursion and governor limits when data arrives in batches. For Queueable Apex the skill names the limits: 50 jobs per transaction and one child job when chaining. Worth checking against your own queues if async logic is already spread across jobs.
Install is a single npx command, and the file lands at ~/.claude/skills/salesforce-development/SKILL.md. The skill itself needs no API keys or environment setup.
What it helps with
- write an LWC that binds data with
@wire - build an Apex trigger that survives bulk loads
- move trigger logic into a handler class and stop recursion
- push heavy processing into Queueable Apex
- find SOQL and DML inside loops in existing code
Example prompts for the agent
- write an LWC component that pulls records through
@wire - rewrite this trigger with the handler pattern so it handles 200+ records
- check this class for SOQL and DML inside loops

Questions about salesforce-development
How do I install salesforce-development in Claude?
Run npx claude-code-templates@latest --skill development/salesforce-development. The skill ends up at ~/.claude/skills/salesforce-development/SKILL.md.
What does salesforce-development do?
It gives the agent Salesforce development patterns: LWC with @wire, bulkified Apex triggers behind a handler class, Queueable Apex for async jobs. Anti-patterns like SOQL and DML inside loops are listed too.
What limits does it give for Queueable Apex?
50 jobs per transaction and one child job when chaining. If your async logic is already spread across jobs, compare it against those numbers.
