What brainstorm does

This skill turns an assistant into an active thinking partner rather than a passive list maker. It questions weak assumptions. You can work with zero background knowledge in clean-slate mode or let it connect concepts across projects.

Progress stays organized inside local brainstorms/ folders. It generates structured Markdown files for each revision. Ideas move through explicit maturity stages from raw concepts to finalized plans. When pressed for time, a quick capture mode records the core thought immediately.

Session continuity relies on passing the latest version document at the start of each meeting.

What it helps with

  • organize multi-day product ideation sessions
  • capture reasoning behind pivotal project choices
  • track concept maturity across distinct stages
  • uncover blind spots before committing to an architecture

Example prompts for the agent

  • Start a new brainstorming project for our API gateway redesign in clean-slate mode.
  • Let's continue ideation on the SaaS dashboard using brainstorms/saas-app/saas-app-v2.md.
  • Run a quick capture on a newsletter concept before we wrap up today.
