What tipkit does

This skill equips your agent with local documentation for Apple's TipKit framework. The bundled Markdown files cover the Tip protocol, inline TipView elements, TipUIPopoverViewController, the Tips namespace, and initial setup through Tips.configure().

The retrieval workflow is layered. The agent inspects its local Markdown index (tipkit-overview.md and related files) first. If a specific topic is missing, it searches across other installed Apple skills via grep. When local files do not have the answer, it queries the sosumi.ai documentation mirror.

Keep in mind that internet access is required whenever an edge-case API page is not present in the local Markdown files.

What it helps with

  • configure TipKit startup using Tips.configure()
  • implement the Tip protocol for contextual tips
  • embed inline TipView components in an interface
  • fetch missing Apple TipKit docs via sosumi.ai

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show how to implement the Tip protocol using TipKit
  • How do I set up Tips.configure() in my app lifecycle?
  • Create an inline TipView based on the local reference

## Fetching More Docs

1. Search this skill's local `.md` files first.
2. If the topic is not here, check the other installed Apple skills you have available by their names, descriptions, or `SKILL.md` frontmatter, then grep their local files. This is faster and uses less context than fetching new docs from the internet.
3. If no installed skill has the page, use the relevant documentation path from `tipkit-overview.md` with the `sosumi.ai` Markdown mirror. For example, `/documentation/tipkit/tip` maps to `https://sosumi.ai/documentation/tipkit/tip`.
