Premiere — Claude Code skill for Adobe Premiere Pro via Flue
Control Adobe Premiere Pro from the shell through Flue. The agent pipes ExtendScript into premiere_bridge.py and gets structured JSON back.
npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill premiere -a claude-codeWhat Premiere does
This skill lets a coding agent operate Adobe Premiere Pro on the desktop through Flue, a local shell-to-application bridge. The agent pipes ExtendScript into premiere_bridge.py and receives structured JSON. The chain is simple: agent shell → premiere_bridge.py → ExtendScript → JSON result.
Use it when a request involves work inside Premiere itself — inspecting the open project, sequences, clips, markers, or making bounded edits. A CLI agent cannot act inside Premiere without a bridge like Flue.
The skill asks the agent to read FLUE.md first: it covers how Flue works, the bridge contract, a worked ExtendScript example, and safety expectations. If Flue is already installed, the agent also reads SKILL.md and adapters/premiere_adapter/APP.md for the operational contract. If Flue is missing, the agent tells you and offers pip install flue && flue setup, but does not install without explicit approval in the current session.
Flue also supports Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Audition, Blender, Houdini, 3ds Max, Unity, and Microsoft Office through the same stdin/stdout contract. One install covers all adapters. MIT-licensed and reviewable on GitHub or PyPI. The skill prefers small, inspectable steps and avoids destructive actions unless explicitly requested.
What it helps with
- inspect the open project in Premiere
- list sequences and clips
- read markers on the timeline
- make bounded edits inside the project
- run small ExtendScript steps and get JSON back
Example prompts for the agent
- show me the sequences open in Premiere
- list the clips in the current project
- read markers on the active timeline
How to install Premiere
1Skills CLI (Vercel)
npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill premiere -a claude-code2Manually: put the files in place
~/.claude/skills/premiere/SKILL.mdCopy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/premiere/
1Skills CLI (Vercel)
npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill premiere -a codex2Manually: put the files in place
.agents/skills/premiere/SKILL.mdFor all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

Questions about Premiere
How do I install Premiere in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill premiere -a claude-code. The skill lands at ~/.claude/skills/premiere/SKILL.md.
What does the Premiere skill do?
It connects a coding agent to Adobe Premiere Pro through the Flue bridge. The agent sends ExtendScript to premiere_bridge.py and gets structured JSON back, so it can inspect projects and make small edits.
Do I need Flue for this skill to work?
Yes, Flue is the required bridge. If it is not installed, the skill will tell you and offer pip install flue && flue setup, but it will not install without your approval in the current session.
