Audition — Claude Code skill: drive Adobe Audition from the shell
This skill lets a coding agent work inside an open Adobe Audition session: inspect tracks and clips, make bounded edits, run ExtendScript.
npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill audition -a claude-codeWhat Audition does
The skill talks to Audition through Flue, a local shell-to-application bridge. The agent pipes ExtendScript into audition_bridge.py and gets structured JSON back. Agent shell, bridge script, ExtendScript, result.
Read FLUE.md in the skill directory first. It covers how Flue works, the bridge contract, a worked ExtendScript example and the safety expectations. With Flue already installed, also read C:\Users\fredd\.claude\skills\flue\SKILL.md and adapters/audition_adapter/APP.md. Nothing happens inside Audition without Flue, which installs via pip install flue && flue setup — and that install should not run without explicit approval in the current session.
Flue acts inside professional desktop software, so the human stays the driver. Small, inspectable steps beat big ones. Destructive actions only when asked for directly. The same bridge covers Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, InDesign, Blender, Houdini, 3ds Max, Unity and Microsoft Office, so one install serves every adapter.
What it helps with
- inspect what is open in the current Audition session
- pull tracks, clips and markers into JSON
- make a bounded edit inside the open project
- run a small ExtendScript step without touching the UI
- check session state before a destructive action
Example prompts for the agent
- show me the tracks and clips currently open in Audition
- collect the markers from this session as JSON
- apply an edit to the selected clip via ExtendScript

Questions about Audition
How do I install Audition in Claude?
Run npx skills add SFKislev/Flue --skill audition -a claude-code. The skill then lives at ~/.claude/skills/audition/SKILL.md. You also need Flue itself: pip install flue && flue setup.
What does Audition do?
It lets the agent operate inside an open Adobe Audition session: read tracks, clips and markers, make bounded edits, run small ExtendScript steps. Everything goes through the Flue bridge and comes back as JSON.
What does the skill need to work?
Flue installed, plus a read of FLUE.md in the skill directory. Without Flue the agent cannot act inside Audition, so the install has to be approved in the current session.

--- name: Audition description: Control Adobe Audition from the shell via Flue - ExtendScript bridges without an MCP server. --- This skill lets a coding agent operate **Adobe Audition** on the desktop through [Flue](https://github.com/SFKislev/flue), a local shell-to-application bridge. The agent pipes ExtendScript into `audition_bridge.py` and gets structured JSON back. > agent shell -> `audition_bridge.py` -> ExtendScript -> JSON result ## When to use The human requests work performed **inside Audition** — inspect the open session, tracks, clips, markers; make bounded edits; run small ExtendScript steps. A CLI agent cannot act inside Audition without a bridge like Flue. ## How to proceed 1. **Read `FLUE.md` in this directory first.** It explains how Flue works, the bridge contract, a worked ExtendScript example, and safety expectations. 2. **If Flue is installed:** also read `C:\Users\fredd\.claude\skills\flue\SKILL.md` and `adapters/audition_adapter/APP.md` for the operational contract, then work from there. 3. **If Flue is not installed:** tell the human. The install command is `pip install flue && flue setup`. Do not install without explicit approval in the current session. ## Other apps Flue also supports Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, InDesign, Blender, Houdini, 3ds Max, Unity, and Microsoft Office through the same stdin/stdout contract. One install covers all adapters. ## Safety Flue acts inside professional desktop software. Treat the human as the driver; prefer small, inspectable steps; avoid destructive actions unless explicitly requested. Flue is MIT-licensed and reviewable on GitHub / PyPI before use.
