What status does

The skill inspects Nowledge Mem by running nmem --json status. It reports whether the server is reachable and checks database connectivity. The command also displays backend and nmem versions.

Testing requires an active Nowledge Mem backend or desktop app. The nmem-cli package installs via pip, uvx, or Arch Linux package managers yay and paru.

Remote mode requires valid configuration. Without apiUrl and apiKey inside ~/.nowledge-mem/config.json, the diagnostic check fails.

What it helps with

  • verify connectivity to the Nowledge Mem server
  • inspect installed backend and CLI versions
  • validate access to the knowledge graph
  • verify remote mode credentials in config.json

Example prompts for the agent

  • Check if Nowledge Mem is reachable
  • Diagnose memory connection and show CLI version
  • Is my memory database working?
