msw-behaviourtree — Claude Code skill for behaviour trees
Builds MSW .behaviourtree files and refreshes a project-specific node spec. Use it to define a behaviour graph with Blackboard variables and node properties.
npx skills add MSW-Git/msw-ai-coding-plugins-official --skill msw-behaviourtree -a claude-codeWhat msw-behaviourtree does
The skill scans .codeblock files alongside their .mlua counterparts to identify custom nodes, UUIDs, types, and properties. It then assembles the tree graph, adds Blackboard variables, and connects node properties. Check that every referenced custom node appears in the project spec; the skill does not make up a UUID for a missing node.
The scripts/build-spec.cjs script generates .behaviourDocs/bt-spec.md. Node.js must be on PATH; if Environment/config is missing, pass --coreVersion. The skill also checks parent-child consistency and uses examples and graph rules from references/ when building the file.
What it helps with
- build an
.behaviourtreewith a defined node graph - find UUIDs and properties for custom nodes
- wire node properties to Blackboard variables
- refresh the project spec after
.mluaor.codeblockchanges
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a
PatrolAndChasebehaviour tree with the graphSequence → [Chase, MoveTo]. - Scan the project nodes and refresh
.behaviourDocs/bt-spec.md. - Add a Blackboard variable named
TargetEntityand connect it to theChasenode property.
