What mechanism-builder does

The skill acts as a copy chief to construct a "why this works" angle. It breaks down what customers tried earlier, why those attempts fell short, and what sets the current approach apart.

The output follows four sections: Failed Method, New Mechanism, Mechanism Name, and Why It Works. The generated name must stay simple, memorable, and distinctive. Because generic explanations undermine credibility, the instructions strictly forbid vague descriptions.

What it helps with

  • identify why previous solutions failed for customers
  • define the core reason a new approach delivers results
  • name a memorable mechanism for product positioning
  • generate structured copy angles for marketing

Example prompts for the agent

  • Build a mechanism angle for our automated backup tool
  • Define why our software delivers results and give the mechanism a simple name
