What avatar-extraction does

The skill guides the agent through a buyer’s life and work situation, what they want to achieve, and what frustrates them day to day. It then examines solutions they have tried, why those efforts fell short, and what they believe about the problem.

The output covers the person’s current situation, pain points, desired outcome, failed attempts, and emotional drivers. It also surfaces motives such as wanting control or relief, with attention to the context behind a decision. A profile built only from broad demographic labels goes against the skill’s guidance.

For Claude Code, the install command creates ~/.claude/skills/avatar-extraction/SKILL.md. The skill can also be added with npx skills.

What it helps with

  • describe a buyer’s situation and goals
  • identify everyday frustrations
  • trace why earlier solutions failed
  • surface emotional motives behind a decision

Example prompts for the agent

  • Build a profile of the buyer this offer is meant for.
  • Describe what this customer wants and what gets in the way.
  • Find out what the buyer has tried and why those attempts fell short.
