legal — Claude Code skill: privacy policy, terms and EULA
Writes privacy policies, terms of service and EULAs around how your app actually handles data and which markets you ship to.
npx skills add rshankras/claude-code-apple-skills --skill legal -a claude-codeWhat legal does
The legal skill walks indie Apple developers through generating legal documents. It asks about your data collection, third-party SDKs and target regions, then produces Markdown with app-specific placeholders filled in. Along the way it maps GDPR, CCPA, DPDP and COPPA requirements and helps you fill in the App Store Privacy Nutrition Labels.
Two sub-skills do the work. privacy-policy/ builds the documents and suggests where to host them — GitHub Pages, your own site, or inside the app. privacy-publish/ pushes the finished pages live and sets the Privacy Policy and Support URLs in App Store Connect through the ASC API, with a dry run first. The skill can use Read, Glob, Grep and AskUserQuestion, so it reads your project and asks questions rather than writing files on its own.
That ASC API step is the one to watch. The dry run shows which URLs would land in App Store Connect, and you want to see that list before letting the real call through. Nearby skills cover the rest of the compliance surface: generators/consent-flow for consent UI, generators/account-deletion for the App Store account deletion requirement, generators/permission-priming for ATT priming.
What it helps with
- generate a privacy policy that matches your app's data collection
- draft terms of service and a EULA for App Store submission
- work out what GDPR, CCPA or DPDP requires from your app
- refresh legal documents after adding analytics, ads or tracking
- publish the pages and set the URLs in App Store Connect
Example prompts for the agent
- generate a privacy policy for my iOS app — I collect data through Firebase and RevenueCat
- I need terms of service and a EULA before submitting to the App Store
- update my privacy policy, I just added an ad SDK and the ATT prompt
