What invoice-organizer does

The skill opens PDF invoices, scanned receipts, screenshots and email attachments and pulls out the vendor, invoice number, date, amount, line description and payment method. Each file is then renamed to YYYY-MM-DD Vendor - Invoice - ProductOrService.pdf. Originals stay where they are: the skill copies by default and only moves files when you ask.

You pick the folder layout — vendor, expense category, year and quarter, or tax category. Nothing gets touched before the skill prints a plan with sample renames and waits for your yes. At the end it writes a CSV holding every extracted field, ready for accounting software or an email to your bookkeeper.

When an amount or a date can't be read, the file is flagged for manual review instead of guessed at. Faint scans and handwritten receipts are where this falls down, so keep an eye on those.
