What efo-ontology-skill does

efo-ontology-skill lets Codex and ChatGPT work with EFO through the OLS4 API. It covers search, single-term lookup, child-term queries, and descendant expansion. By default, the result is turned into a concise markdown summary.

The package includes instructions and scripts/rest_request.py, which handles every API request. Search, children, and descendant queries can use max_items=10; a single-term lookup usually needs no item limit. The script reads one JSON object from stdin and can save the full payload when save_raw=true is enabled.

Install it when an agent needs EFO lookups or compact ontology expansions. It is a poor fit for work unrelated to EFO and OLS4.
