What decision-debate does

This skill coordinates an argumentative review between parallel agents assessing a split design call. By default, it deploys three distinct viewpoints: methodology, political economy, and practical feasibility on the ground. Each persona searches documentation and web sources independently, flagging unsourced claims with ⚠️.

After individual research, the agents run one round of rebuttals to challenge opposing points and note concessions. No endless back-and-forth occurs. A structured decision memo synthesizes the outcome, highlighting consensus alongside unresolvable disagreements.

The skill consumes substantial token budgets and never modifies repository files directly. It exits after producing the synthesis, keeping final authority with the user.

What it helps with

  • evaluate clashing perspectives on a contested design decision
  • surface underlying trade-offs without editing project documents
  • produce a structured decision memo with clear points of dissent
  • contrast methodological rigor against operational feasibility

Example prompts for the agent

  • Run a decision debate on choosing between routine administrative monitoring and survey-based evaluation
  • Set up a five-persona debate on our indicator verification process
