What daily-brief does

This skill turns the start of a workday into a fixed-format brief. It identifies one top priority, lists calendar entries in time order, adds preparation notes, and separates overdue or blocked work from decisions that still need an answer. Each blocked item gets a next action and an owner when the relevant details are available.

The default workflow uses information supplied by the user. Calendar or email MCP servers can provide those inputs directly. Without them, the skill asks for missing calendar details, priorities, blockers, pending decisions, and energy state in one batch. It does not invent meetings or tasks, and end-of-day reflection belongs to journal-reflection.

What it helps with

  • turn morning inputs into a day plan
  • choose one priority from a longer list
  • prepare for meetings from calendar details
  • surface overdue or blocked work
  • organize decisions that need an answer

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create my morning brief from today’s calendar, priorities, and overdue work.
  • Tell me what matters most today and list the decisions and blockers I need to handle.
  • Plan my day around an energy state of “tired”.
