The skill takes a single argument and performs one action per call. For paging that is next, previous or page N; for sorting it is sort by date, sort by citations, sort by downloads, sort by relevance or sort by comprehensive. Everything runs through one async evaluate_script — no page snapshot, no wait step.
The script collects the links in .pages a, clicks the one you asked for and polls .countPageMark until the counter changes. Sorting works differently: it clicks an entry in #orderList by a fixed id — li#FFD for relevance, li#PT for date, li#CF for citations, li#DFR for downloads, li#ZH for comprehensive. The result list then resets to page one.
Before each action it checks for a captcha via the #tcaptcha_transform_dy element. If that element is visible, the call returns a captcha error and nothing gets clicked, so a triggered challenge stops the paging until you clear it yourself. A missing page number or sort option comes back as an error listing what was actually available.
