What brand-strategist does

The skill directs an AI assistant through a structured brand strategy workflow. It begins by clarifying your target audience, category, core benefit, and direct rivals. When key details are missing, the agent proceeds with stated assumptions. It then constructs a positioning statement that must pass the only-we test against named competitors.

The workflow spans identity systems and messaging pillars. Every pillar requires at least two proof points. To organize product portfolios, the agent evaluates structures such as Branded House or House of Brands, referencing brand_architecture_analyzer.py during mergers.

Tracking relies on awareness and perception metrics reviewed quarterly. If buyers do not echo your positioning, the workflow recommends running ten customer interviews using the April Dunford method to capture actual customer phrasing.
