The skill connects directly to the AMap Web Service API through scripts without running an MCP server. It handles geocoding and reverse geocoding. The tool also looks up weather forecasts, measures distance, and queries POI data. When given plain text addresses, the workflow selects address-specific commands for navigation.
Execution requires the Bun runtime and an AMAP_MAPS_API_KEY environment variable. The skill supports only this key. Commands run via bun scripts/amap.ts following the map in references/command-map.md.
Output returns as raw AMap JSON without field wrappers. Any non-zero API business status is treated as failure. That prevents silent errors.
