agent-browser-automation — Claude Code skill: install
This skill gives AI agents a headless browser through a Rust CLI and Chrome DevTools Protocol. Use it for pages, forms, snapshots, and screenshots.
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill agent-browser-automation -a claude-codeWhat agent-browser-automation does
The skill exposes the agent-browser CLI for headless browser control through Chrome DevTools Protocol. An agent can open URLs, click and fill elements, read page content, capture screenshots, and save pages as PDF files.
It uses accessibility snapshots with references such as @e1 and @e2, plus semantic finders for roles, labels, text, and test IDs. The CLI also supports waits, JavaScript evaluation, tabs, frames, and JSON batch execution. It is built in Rust and does not require a Node.js or Playwright runtime.
Run agent-browser install before the first browser session; this downloads Chrome for Testing.
What it helps with
- open a page and inspect its accessibility tree
- fill a web form using
@eNreferences - capture a screenshot or export a page to PDF
- wait for a URL, text, or loading state
- run several browser actions through one batch command
Example prompts for the agent
- Open
https://example.com, inspect the accessibility snapshot, and click the submit button it exposes. - Fill the Email field with
[email protected], submit the form, and save a screenshot asresult.png. - Open the page, wait for URL
**/dashboard, then export it tooutput.pdf.
