What statistical-analyst does

The plugin includes three Python tools: Z-tests, t-tests, and chi-square tests with effect sizes; a sample-size calculator that exposes power tradeoffs; and Wilson score confidence intervals. Use them to compare groups or estimate the uncertainty around a proportion.

The tools rely on Python’s standard library alone, so their calculations do not require third-party Python packages. The tests cannot tell you whether an experiment was designed or collected correctly; interpret their results in light of how the data was gathered.

What it helps with

  • test whether two groups differ
  • estimate the effect in an A/B experiment
  • calculate a sample size while considering statistical power
  • find a Wilson score interval for a proportion

Example prompts for the agent

  • Analyze this A/B experiment and estimate its effect size.
  • Calculate a suitable sample size while accounting for statistical power.
  • Find the Wilson score confidence interval for this proportion.
