fastah-ip-geo-tools — GitHub Copilot plugin: RFC 8805 geofeeds
A skill and MCP server for validating and tuning IP geolocation feeds in RFC 8805 format. Built for network engineers who publish address geolocation.
copilot plugin install fastah-ip-geo-tools@awesome-copilotWhat fastah-ip-geo-tools does
The plugin ships a geofeed-tuner skill and a linked Fastah MCP server. The skill validates and tunes CSV geofeeds against RFC 8805, drawing on practices from real deployments, while the MCP server matches place names in the feed to actual cities. That pairing is what keeps the output accurate instead of roughly right.
Python 3 is required. The skill generates validation and tuning scripts, and those scripts run on Python — so have it in place before you start, or the generated files have nothing to execute them.
Licensed Apache-2.0 and distributed through the Awesome Copilot collection. Original development lives in fastah/ip-geofeed-skills.
What it helps with
- check a CSV geofeed against RFC 8805
- clean up city names in a geofeed
- tune a geofeed using real-world deployment practices
- generate validation and tuning scripts

Example prompts for the agent
- Validate my CSV geofeed against RFC 8805 and list the errors
- Fix the city names in my geofeed so they match real cities
- Tune my geofeed with best practices and generate a validation script
