/plugin install aws-core@claude-plugins-official
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community
/plugin install aws-core@claude-community
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-officialWhat aws-core does
This plugin connects Claude Code to the AWS MCP Server and loads a curated set of skills. The server provides search_documentation and retrieve_skill, which fetch AWS reference material and skills without credentials. It also includes run_script for sandboxed Python execution.
Direct API access through call_aws reaches over 300 AWS services. This tool requires active credentials. Without valid AWS authentication, the agent can only query documentation. Included skills cover AWS CDK, CloudFormation deployments, serverless setups, and Amazon Bedrock models. The plugin also provides reviews across all six pillars of the Well-Architected Framework.
Recommended rule files are not applied automatically. You must pull them manually from the repository's rules/ folder.
What it helps with
- write and validate infrastructure code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation
- audit workloads against the six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- search live AWS documentation directly from Claude Code without a browser
- monitor and optimize cloud spending with billing and observability skills
Example prompts for the agent
- Review this application design against the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Search AWS documentation for Amazon Bedrock converse API parameters
- Generate a CDK stack in TypeScript for a serverless API with DynamoDB
