aws-amplify — Claude Code plugin: features and install
This plugin guides AWS Amplify Gen 2 full-stack work across backend, sandbox, frontend, and production stages.
/plugin install aws-amplify@claude-plugins-official
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-officialWhat aws-amplify does
aws-amplify coordinates AWS Amplify Gen 2 development as a sequence of guided phases. It can create authentication, data models, storage, and functions under amplify/, then connect a frontend and deploy to a sandbox or production environment. The workflow runs only the phases relevant to the request.
The package includes the amplify-workflow skill, reference instructions for backend, deployment, and frontend integration, plus prereq-check.sh for prerequisite validation. Its aws-mcp server retrieves AWS documentation and SOP material through mcp-proxy-for-aws. You need Node.js >= 18, npm, and the AWS CLI with configured credentials. AWS actions will fail without those credentials.
