Social Media Trends API — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Query weekly trend history, percentage changes, or a live ranked feed through an MCP server. Use it to inspect signals for a keyword and source.
claude mcp add --transport http social-media-trends-api https://social-media.api.trendsapi.ai/mcpWhat Social Media Trends API does
The server exposes three operations. One returns weekly history for a source and keyword; another gives the percentage change. A third fetches a live ranked feed and takes a trend type instead. Source options, feed categories, and keyword formats are described in the service catalogs.
A token is needed for requests. Claude Code connects over HTTP, while the Cursor setup uses an mcp.json configuration. There is one specific requirement for app data: app downloads and app rankings need an Android bundle ID, such as com.openai.chatgpt.
What it helps with

- check the percentage change for a trend
- fetch a live ranked feed for a trend type
- look up app download or ranking data by Android bundle ID
