Palisade — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects coding agents to email authentication tools. Inspect and update SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS, and BIMI records directly from the workspace.
claude mcp add --transport http palisade https://api.palisade.email/mcpWhat Palisade does
Palisade delivers email security posture checks into agent workflows. It queries live DNS records, spots misconfigurations, and tracks the 10-lookup restriction on SPF records. Tools provide the exact entries needed at your DNS host, retrieve MTA-STS status, and summarize incoming DMARC telemetry without parsing raw XML files.
Connecting to the full account requires browser-based OAuth authorization. Local port 8765 must remain free for the redirect. API keys are blocked on this interface. Agents with native Streamable HTTP support hit https://api.palisade.email/mcp directly, while stdio-only tools run the bridge via npx. A separate unauthenticated endpoint at https://api.palisade.email/mcp/public exposes read-only checks for external domains.
What it helps with
- Audit SPF, DKIM, and DMARC settings for target domains
- Verify whether an SPF include exceeds the 10-lookup DNS ceiling
- Fetch exact DNS resource records to publish at the DNS host
- Generate prospecting audit reports as hosted PDF links
Example prompts for the agent
- Run a full email security audit on example.com
- Check if adding include:_spf.google.com breaks our 10-lookup SPF limit
- Show the DNS records needed to activate hosted DMARC on my domain

Questions about Palisade
How do I install Palisade in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http palisade https://api.palisade.email/mcp to connect over HTTP directly. Alternatively, configure the stdio bridge with claude mcp add palisade -- npx -y @palisadeemail/mcp.
What does Palisade MCP do?
It provides tools to inspect and configure domain email security standards like SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MTA-STS. You can track compliance remediation tasks, read aggregate sender statistics, and retrieve required DNS records.
Does Palisade require an account for basic domain checks?
No, pointing the MCP server to https://api.palisade.email/mcp/public allows unauthenticated access. This public endpoint offers audit_domain and validate_spf_include to evaluate public DNS records without signing in.
