Oncofiles — Claude Code MCP server: medical records from Drive
Pulls medical documents out of Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar and hands them to an AI assistant. Useful when a treatment history is spread across inboxes and folders.
claude mcp add --transport http oncofiles https://oncofiles.com/mcpWhat Oncofiles does
Oncofiles is an MCP server written in Python 3.12+ on FastMCP. It reads lab results, CT scans, pathology reports and prescriptions from your Google Drive, and picks up medical emails and appointments from Gmail and Calendar. The 14 modules hold 76 tools: document CRUD with versioning, lab value tracking, pre-cycle safety checks for chemo protocols, PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov search, a treatment timeline.
Your files stay in your own Google Drive. One instance can serve several patients — each gets isolated documents, its own onco_* bearer token and its own Google authorization. Drive sync runs both ways and OCR companion files appear alongside documents automatically.
DATABASE_PATH is required; the server will not start without it. Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar each need an OAuth client, and remote access means setting MCP_TRANSPORT=streamable-http plus a bearer token. A Dockerfile ships in the repo for Railway deployment.
What it helps with
- find one lab result buried in hundreds of emails and PDFs
- chart how blood values moved across a treatment course
- run a safety check before the next chemo cycle
- turn a treatment history into questions for the oncologist
- sort medical emails and appointments into categories
Example prompts for the agent
- Show every blood test from the last three months and compare them to the previous cycle
- Find emails from my oncologist in Gmail and add them to the patient documents
- What should I ask my doctor at next week's appointment?

Questions about Oncofiles
How do I install Oncofiles in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http oncofiles https://oncofiles.com/mcp.
What does Oncofiles do?
It reads medical documents from Google Drive along with Gmail messages and Calendar events, classifies them, and exposes everything to an AI chat. The 76 MCP tools cover labs, a treatment timeline, and PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov search.
Can one server handle several patients?
Yes, since v4.0. Documents are scoped per patient, and each one has a separate onco_* bearer token and its own Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar authorization.
