noddle draw — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects your assistant to noddle draw boards for collaborative diagram editing, history tracking, and anchored commenting without accounts.
Open on GitHubWhat noddle draw does
This server hooks an AI model into noddle draw boards over the standard stdio transport. The agent gets tools to inspect board content, replace the diagram structure, browse earlier snapshots, and leave anchored review notes. Diagram generation converts plain prose or Mermaid code into board JSON via an AI provider or the shared pool.
The codebase relies strictly on the Python 3.9+ standard library without external dependencies. Access works anonymously without tokens or user profiles, which means anyone holding the 12-character hex identifier can open or edit the canvas. Because there are no board owners, the API provides neither a delete endpoint nor a general listing tool.
What it helps with
- render visual diagram boards from plain descriptions or Mermaid
- attach feedback comments to specific nodes or coordinates
- inspect and restore earlier diagram snapshots
- collaborate on diagrams with an AI agent without user accounts
Example prompts for the agent
- Build a diagram of the backend architecture and create a new board for it.
- Read board 123456abcdef and post a comment pinned to the database node.
- Check version history snapshots for board 123456abcdef and revert the diagram to the previous state.
