social-media-copywriter — Claude Code subagent: install & use
Turns podcast episode notes into promotional posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Fits character caps and structural rules for each platform.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent podcast-creator-team/social-media-copywriterWhat social-media-copywriter does
This subagent converts podcast notes into social posts across three networks. It runs with Read, Write, and WebSearch tools enabled, allowing it to verify guest credentials and gather missing context. If details about the episode are missing, it stops to ask clarifying questions before drafting.
Output includes three tailored pieces per episode: a 3–5 tweet thread under 280 characters per post, a LinkedIn article under 1300 characters with Spotify and YouTube links, and three punchy Instagram caption bullets under 50 characters each. The prompt explicitly bans generic phrases to keep posts substantive.
Because the default prompt references The Build Podcast, you will need to adjust the project branding in the prompt file for your own show.
What it helps with
- draft a multi-tweet thread summarizing an interview
- write a LinkedIn update with episode links and key takeaways
- generate short Instagram caption points with emojis
- cross-check guest credentials before publishing promo copy
Example prompts for the agent
- Draft social media posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram from this episode transcript.
- Create a 4-tweet thread summarizing our conversation with the guest about fundraising.
- Write a LinkedIn post announcing the new episode and include Spotify and YouTube links.
