reepl-linkedin — GitHub Copilot subagent: LinkedIn posts and carousels
A GitHub Copilot subagent that drafts LinkedIn posts and carousels, helps with scheduling and reads your engagement numbers. Handy if you post under your own name or run a company page.
.github/agents/reepl-linkedin.agent.mdWhat reepl-linkedin does
reepl-linkedin is a content agent for LinkedIn. It starts by asking what you want out of the post: thought leadership, a product launch, a hiring note, community engagement. Then it drafts according to platform habits — a hook in the first two lines, short paragraphs, a clear call to action at the end.
What sits inside is a set of instructions, not code. The agent suggests hashtags, builds multi-slide carousels with a beginning, middle and end, and matches tone to your voice profile. It also reviews post performance and audience insights. Publishing and scheduling run through the Reepl platform, so those steps need access to it.
One limit worth knowing: the agent lives in your editor, not in the social network. It hands you a draft, you still post it. It also refuses clickbait and engagement bait by design, so don't expect it to write rage fodder.
What it helps with
- draft a LinkedIn post with a hook that earns the click
- build a multi-slide carousel around one idea
- match the tone of a draft to your own voice
- review how past posts performed
- plan when a post should go out
Example prompts for the agent
- Write a LinkedIn post about our new release, hook in the first two lines
- Turn this into a five-slide carousel about our move to microservices
- Rewrite this draft in my tone and suggest three hashtags
