LinkedIn Automation — Claude Code skill: posts, leads, outreach

A skill that maps out LinkedIn publishing, lead generation, message sequences and analytics for your agent. Useful when B2B outreach runs from the terminal.

npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill linkedin-automation -a claude-code
Open on GitHub

What LinkedIn Automation does

The skill lays out LinkedIn workflows: a content pipeline from planning and drafting to scheduling and engagement, plus a lead-gen funnel with filters for industry, company size, job title and location. It ships post templates for story and list formats, carousel specs, comment and reply snippets, connection request copy and multi-step message sequences with delays and triggers.

There is a company page section too: content pillars with percentage splits, posting frequency, best times and days, and an employee advocacy program. Ads get their own block — sponsored content, message ads and lead gen forms with targeting and budget settings.

Running any of this needs the social-mcp MCP server with the linkedin_post, linkedin_message, linkedin_analytics and linkedin_leads tools. Without it you are left with templates and instructions, because publishing, messaging and lead export all go through those tools. The skill file lands at ~/.claude/skills/linkedin-automation/SKILL.md.

What it helps with

  • plan a week of LinkedIn posts and slot them by time
  • draft a story post with a hook and a call to action
  • build a lead list by industry, company size and title
  • write a message sequence with delays and triggers
  • set content pillars and posting frequency for a company page

Example prompts for the agent

  • Build a LinkedIn posting plan for next week around our content pillars
  • Write a story post about our product launch with a hook and CTA
  • Pull a lead list: Software, 51-200 employees, CEO and CTO titles

### 2. Lead Generation Flow

```yaml
lead_gen_workflow:
  search:
    filters:
      - industry: "Software"
      - company_size: "51-200"
      - title_contains: ["CEO", "CTO", "VP"]
      - location: "San Francisco Bay Area"
  qualify:
    criteria:
      - has_recent_activity: true
      - mutual_connections: "> 3"
      - engagement_score: "> 50"
  outreach:
    sequence:
      - action: connect
        message: connection_request
      - wait: 2_days
      - action: message
        template: intro_message
      - wait: 3_days
      - action: follow_up
        template: value_add
```

## Content Templates

### Post Formats

```yaml
      {{story_paragraph_2}}
    example: |
      I got rejected 47 times before landing my dream job.
      ↓
      Each rejection felt like a punch to the gut.
      But I kept going.
      Here's what changed everything:
      I stopped trying to "impress" and started being authentic.
      The 48th interview? I got 2 offers.
      Lesson: Rejection is redirection, not the end.
3. **Engage Authentically**: Real comments, not generic
4. **Optimize Profile**: Photo, headline, summary
5. **Use Hooks**: First line must grab attention
6. **Storytelling**: Personal stories perform best
7. **Hashtags**: 3-5 relevant hashtags
8. **Respond Quickly**: Engage in first hour
