A skill that makes your coding agent write LinkedIn posts: a hook in the first two lines, line breaks, and a hashtag strategy.

What linkedin-post-optimizer does

The skill tells the agent to act as a LinkedIn engagement expert. It drafts posts in a professional narrative style: the first two lines carry the hook so the post does not get truncated in the feed, the body is broken into lines, and hashtags follow a strategy.

Inside are instructions plus an output template with a results block and a recommendations block, followed by next steps. The agent answers in that shape, so the draft is ready to copy without restructuring.

It installs into Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode. In Claude the file lives at ~/.claude/skills/linkedin-post-optimizer/SKILL.md. If you want an audit of a post you already published rather than a new draft, look elsewhere — this one only generates.

What it helps with

  • draft a LinkedIn post with a hook in the first lines
  • break a long post into lines that read well in the feed
  • pick hashtags that match the post topic
  • get a ready post from a template without manual formatting
  • attach recommendations and next steps to the draft

Example prompts for the agent

  • Help me write a LinkedIn post about our API launch
  • Turn this text into a LinkedIn post and put the hook in the first two lines
  • Pick hashtags for this draft and break it into lines
