writing-linkedin-posts — Claude Code skill: LinkedIn posts
Guides an agent through writing LinkedIn posts: hook, body, close. Useful when you want a first-person text, not an ad template.
npx skills add jamesgray007/hoai-course --skill writing-linkedin-posts -a claude-codeWhat writing-linkedin-posts does
The skill sets boundaries for LinkedIn writing. Inside are principles: one idea per post, value without engagement bait, honest reflection instead of performed vulnerability. The agent breaks a post into parts: the hook in the first lines before "See more", the body, the close.
Ready-made frameworks cover several formats: story, list, contrarian take, observation. A table shows which hooks still work and which to retire. For personal stories there is a set of questions to answer before publishing.
The skill points to references/hooks.md with hook examples. Worth installing if you run your own LinkedIn account and want the agent to keep your tone instead of producing motivational posters.
What it helps with
- write a first-person LinkedIn post
- come up with a hook that does not read like an ad
- turn a work story into a post structure
- check whether a draft slid into engagement bait
- pick a format: list, observation or contrarian take
Example prompts for the agent
- Write a LinkedIn post about how I rewrote our service architecture
- Give me a hook for a post about being wrong on remote work
- Review my draft post: where is the engagement bait?
