Nevada casinos post eighth-highest month ever in July as GGR hits $1.38bn

Nevada's 453 casinos generated $1.38bn in GGR in July 2026, up 2.1% year-on-year and the eighth-highest month in state history. Table games drove the gain, rising 24% overall and 43% for baccarat alone. Slots added 4.8%.

The Las Vegas Strip brought in $776.3m, up 3.6%. J.P. Morgan analyst Daniel Politzer noted July was the strongest month of 2026 for table games, likely due to a packed entertainment calendar. Historically July has been a weak month for table drop.

Downtown Las Vegas fell 8.6% to $68.5m. Boulder Strip dropped 2.5% to $82.7m, Clark County outside the Strip declined 1.2% to $164m. Elko posted the largest gain at 13.5%, while North Lake Tahoe recorded the steepest fall at 5.7% to $2.9m. Sparks rose 9.5% to $17.2m, Washoe climbed 11.8% to $8.8m.

Visitor volume increased 2.7% to 3.2m despite convention attendance dropping 5.6% to 262,700. Truist Securities analyst Barry Jonas pointed out July had an extra weekend day; August will reverse that. He remains bullish on Strip recovery but expects volatility in coming months.
