The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has renewed the Category 4 casino licence held by Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC, operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County, for a further five years. The board voted unanimously. It found the operator had met the conditions of its existing licence, which made it eligible for another term.
The renewal followed public hearings and assessments from officials, community organisations and oversight bodies. In June 2025 casino staff presented material on how the property had performed since the previous renewal, and local residents could comment on the casino's effect on the county. The board weighed input from local authorities, community groups and the Pennsylvania State Police, along with findings from its office of enforcement counsel, the Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement, the office of compulsive and problem gambling and the Bureau of Casino Compliance.
A separate meeting took place in Harrisburg on 14 October 2026, where board members questioned representatives of Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC before voting. The casino presentation is published on the board's site under Board Meetings for that date.
Live! Casino Pittsburgh opened in November 2020. Since then it has generated $647 million in gross revenue from retail slots, table games and sports betting, and $314.7 million in tax payments to the state. The floor holds 748 slots and 40 table games, with a retail sportsbook on site. It employs 569 people. For the operator, the renewal means the same operating format for another five years. The case shows how Pennsylvania handles renewals: public hearings, a performance record and assessments from the state police and the regulator's own units. Licences here are not renewed automatically.
