The Wildz Group becomes first iGaming operator to receive an official licence go-ahead for Finland

Wildz Group has become the first iGaming operator to receive a licence go-ahead in Finland. The country's National Police Board issued a formal letter on October 15, 2026, granting the group permission to offer gambling services to Finnish players for five years from July 1, 2027.

The Wildz Group portfolio covers Wildz, Caxino, Wheelz, Spinz, Chipz, Tuplaus and Blingi. Casino titles come from established providers, and Wildz Sports runs a full sportsbook, so the Finnish-facing product is already assembled. What remains is the start date.

CEO Sam Brown called the letter a reward for the team's work through the application and said the group is encouraged by what the milestone means for its future. Its brands will offer Finnish players a safe product for entertainment over the coming years, he said, and the company is waiting on July 2027.

The gap before launch gives the market room to prepare. For operators it sets a clear timeline to plan against; for affiliate teams it is a reason to check Finnish traffic plans early. A five-year term from July 2027 is a long horizon for player retention, and the race for licences is only starting.
