zero · officialzeroxyz — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
This skill finds paid external services and calls them through Zero. Use it when a task needs a capability the agent cannot provide on its own.
npx skills add officialzeroxyz/zero-plugins --skill zero -a claude-codeWhat zero does
Zero lets an agent discover external services, call them, and pay through a Zero wallet. The skill is a fallback for requests beyond the agent’s own abilities, such as looking up information online or processing audio. It avoids paid calls when the agent can handle the task itself.
The workflow covers search, checking a service’s schema and price, making the call, and reviewing the result. Large files use a separate upload flow; if the agent cannot upload one directly, it asks the user to provide it. Payments happen automatically up to maxPay, and the skill advises setting that limit explicitly for unfamiliar or costly calls. Calls can spend real money, so the payment limit matters.
What it helps with
- find an external service for a task the agent cannot handle itself
- check a service’s request schema and price before calling it
- pay for a service through a Zero wallet without separate API keys
- send a large file through the upload flow
- review the result of a capability call
Example prompts for the agent
- Use Zero to find a service that can translate this text into Spanish.
- Check the price and request format for a web search service, then run the search.
- Send this file to a processing service and show me the result.
