subtitle-generation — Claude Code skill: what it does
Transcribes speech in videos via each::sense API, tracks speaker diarization, and produces SRT, VTT, or animated captions.
npx skills add eachlabs/skills --skill subtitle-generation -a claude-codeWhat subtitle-generation does
The skill passes video links to the eachsense/beta model to transcribe spoken dialogue into timestamped text. It outputs standalone files in SRT, VTT, or JSON formats, and can also burn captions directly into an MP4 file.
Beyond simple transcripts, it separates multiple voices via diarization and handles multi-language translations. For short-form clips, it applies word-by-word highlighted text animations.
You must configure an EACHLABS_API_KEY in your environment, because media processing happens on remote eachlabs servers rather than on your local machine.
What it helps with
- transcribe spoken audio into SRT or VTT files
- separate multiple voices using speaker diarization
- hardcode styled captions directly onto MP4 footage
- translate subtitle tracks into other languages
Example prompts for the agent
- Transcribe this video file and save the output as an SRT track with millisecond timestamps
- Add word-by-word animated captions for a short vertical video
- Label both speakers in this podcast clip and export the transcription to VTT
