This skill guides the financial evaluation of SaaS products. It covers two core metric groups: unit economics and capital efficiency. The logic addresses acquisition costs, gross margin, payback periods, lifetime value, monthly burn rates, and total runway.
This framework needs no spreadsheets. Teams can pass partial metrics directly into the prompt without building custom sheets first. Gross margins below 60% signal urgent infrastructure or support cost issues. The assistant computes available ratios from what you provide, or acts as a metric reference when no numbers are supplied.
What it helps with
- calculate LTV to CAC ratios and customer payback timelines
- assess contribution margin factoring in variable expenses
- determine monthly net burn rate and cash runway
- prepare efficiency figures for investor or board updates
Example prompts for the agent
- Check if our metrics support scaling: CAC is $1200, gross margin sits at 75%, and churn is 2%.
- Calculate our net burn and remaining cash runway with $450K in the bank and $35K monthly deficit.
- Help us evaluate acquisition payback periods across our primary marketing channels.
