What rust-daily does

The skill gathers Rust community updates and formats them into a single report for a day, week, or month. Weekly filtering is the default. It pulls items from Reddit r/rust, This Week in Rust, official posts on blog.rust-lang.org and Inside Rust, alongside Rust Foundation notices.

Execution starts by checking for rust-daily-reporter.md. When the agent file is missing, the skill switches to inline mode and reads target pages directly. It queries actionbook MCP first, then calls the agent-browser CLI, falling back to WebFetch if needed. The workflow explicitly forbids generic web searches, keeping outputs grounded in verified sources.

What it helps with

  • generate a weekly summary of top discussions from Reddit r/rust
  • track new official release notes on blog.rust-lang.org and Inside Rust
  • extract key topics from recent This Week in Rust issues
  • pull recent announcements and events from the Rust Foundation

Example prompts for the agent

  • Generate a Rust news report for the past week.
  • Show the latest official Rust blog posts from today.
  • Summarize top Reddit r/rust discussions from the last month.
