meta-cognition-parallel — Claude Code skill: analysis and install
An experimental skill breaks Rust questions into three analysis layers and combines the results into one recommendation.
npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a claude-codeWhat meta-cognition-parallel does
The skill takes a Rust question and examines it through language mechanics, design choices, and domain constraints. When the analyzer files are available under ../../agents/, it launches three analyzers in parallel and then combines their findings. The command expects a Rust question as its argument.
Without those analyzer files, the skill runs the layers sequentially in the current context. Its output includes separate layer findings, a reasoning chain, and a final recommendation. This is an experimental skill, so check that three-layer analysis fits the Rust questions you want to send through it.
What it helps with
- explain a Rust ownership error
- compare cloning with references
- choose between
ArcandMutexpatterns - factor domain constraints into a Rust design
- combine language and architecture analysis
Example prompts for the agent
/meta-parallel <rust_question>Analyze this Rust ownership error and suggest fixes./meta-parallelCompare cloning with passing a reference in this Rust code./meta-parallelReview this Rust design against the domain requirements and language rules.
How to install meta-cognition-parallel
1Skills CLI (Vercel)
npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a claude-code2Manually: put the files in place
~/.claude/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/SKILL.mdCopy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/
1Skills CLI (Vercel)
npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a codex2Manually: put the files in place
.agents/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/SKILL.mdFor all projects use ~/.agents/skills/
1Skills CLI (Vercel)
npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a cursor2Manually: put the files in place
.cursor/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/SKILL.mdCursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/
1GitHub CLI
gh skill install actionbook/rust-skills meta-cognition-parallel2Manually: put the files in place
.github/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/SKILL.md1Skills CLI (Vercel)
npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a gemini-cli2Platform CLI
gemini skills install https://github.com/actionbook/rust-skills --path skills/meta-cognition-parallelManually: put the files in place
.devin/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/SKILL.mdThe legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

Questions about meta-cognition-parallel
How do I install meta-cognition-parallel in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a claude-code, then run npx skills add actionbook/rust-skills --skill meta-cognition-parallel -a claude-code again and check ~/.claude/skills/meta-cognition-parallel/SKILL.md.
What does meta-cognition-parallel do?
It examines a Rust question through language mechanics, design choices, and domain constraints. It then combines those findings into one recommendation.
How do the two execution modes differ?
When layer1-analyzer.md, layer2-analyzer.md, and layer3-analyzer.md are available, the analyzers run in parallel. Otherwise, the skill processes the layers sequentially in the current context.
