What ru-text does

The skill formats Russian output automatically: it uses guillemets, handles dashes and number ranges, and replaces three dots with an ellipsis. On request, it can help with grammar, punctuation, interface copy, articles, SEO content, and business messages.

When proofreading existing text, it returns a corrected version with a change list; it does not silently overwrite the source file. In-place edits require an explicit request. Task-specific guidance lives in files under references/, and a style requested by the user takes precedence over the defaults. Run /ru-text:ru-score to score text across five dimensions on a 0–10 scale.

What it helps with

  • apply Russian typography to generated text
  • proofread a draft and list the changes
  • check punctuation and grammar
  • edit interface copy or a business email
  • score text with /ru-text:ru-score

Example prompts for the agent

  • Proofread draft.md and show the edits you made.
  • Check the punctuation and grammar in this email, leaving quoted text unchanged.
  • Score this passage with /ru-text:ru-score.

# ru-text — Russian Text Quality

Independent Russian text quality reference by Arseniy Kamyshev.
With gratitude to the authors whose work shaped modern Russian text standards.

**Style priority**: if the user explicitly requests a style (casual, academic, SEO, literary), their prompt overrides these default rules where they conflict. The instructions' own typography is not a style request.

**Reviewing vs. rewriting**: when *checking* or proofreading existing text or a file, return the corrected version plus a list of changes — do not silently overwrite the source file. Rewrite a file in place only when the user explicitly asks.

**Someone else's words stay theirs**: quoted material, code blocks and third-party text inside the user's document are reproduced as-is. Report an issue you see in them if it matters; never rewrite them.

## Always-On: Typography
