recoup-roster-list-artists — Claude Code skill for listing your artist roster
Answers "what artists do I have" by scanning the workspace first, then falling back to your live account if the filesystem is empty. Handy when you need a quick picture of who you're working with.
npx skills add recoupable/skills --skill recoup-roster-list-artists -a claude-codeWhat recoup-roster-list-artists does
The skill inventories the artist roster in a project. Each artist sits in artists/{artist-slug}/, and the RECOUP.md file holds the identity with frontmatter fields artistName, artistSlug, and artistId.
It starts by walking the filesystem with ls -d artists/*/ and find artists -name RECOUP.md. When the artists/ folder is missing or has nothing in it, the skill switches to recoup-platform-api-access and follows GET /accounts/id → GET /organizations → GET /artists?org_id=….
One thing matters here: an empty artists/ folder does not mean an empty roster. The skill will not invent artists or report an empty roster before checking the live account. The reply gives names and identifiers (slug/id), never a raw JSON dump.
What it helps with
- find out which artists exist in a project
- list the roster from the workspace folder
- check the roster against a live account when files are missing
- get artist slugs and ids for follow-up work
Example prompts for the agent
- What artists do I have in this project?
- Show me my roster.
- Who's on the roster in this sandbox?

Questions about recoup-roster-list-artists
How do I install recoup-roster-list-artists in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add recoupable/skills --skill recoup-roster-list-artists -a claude-code. The skill file lands at ~/.claude/skills/recoup-roster-list-artists/SKILL.md.
What does recoup-roster-list-artists do?
It gathers the artist list from the artists/ folder in the workspace. If that folder is absent or empty, it reaches out to your live account through the API and pulls the roster from there.
What does the skill need to work?
The fallback mode requires access to recoup-platform-api-access: the skill calls /accounts/id, /organizations, and /artists?org_id=…. Without that access, it can only read files from disk.
